| Oh how I vividly remember viewing the "Faces
of Death" video when it first appeared in the video stores in
the early 1980's - it freaked me out! I had NEVER seen anything
like it - all kinds of graphic real death footage for me to gleefully
view
at home from the safety of my own cigarette burned and beer stained
sofa- it just doesn't get much better than that! Ha! This video
showed it all- suicides, murders, human sacrifice, autopsies,
plane wrecks,
and the infamous "monkey" scene where tourists smash in a
live monkeys
skull and then |

its still warm brain (sounds tasty don't it!). Now there had been a
slew of "Mondo" movies before "Faces" that
mostly consisted of news footage of primitive tribes
and other foreign cultures performing their ancient customs and rituals.
These were great but "Faces of Death" brought the horror
directly to our Western World doorstep and made just about anyone
who viewed it uneasy! The success of "Faces" was huge and
it spawned 4 sequels and countless knock-offs (Traces of Death, Death
Scenes, The Killing of America, etc.) but "Faces" was the
first and the worst! This Gorrific T-shirt pays homage to this original
Splatterpiece! The front of this terror-ific tee features the graphics
that were on the original video box - a huge human skull crying a blood-drop
tear, sensational text and a healthy heapin' of crimson blood splats!
